Don’t look at it!!

Just kidding. It’s not a leper, it’s not a bird, it’s not Superman (He’s walking in Memphis), it’s Qwikster. The new child Netflix only wants you to see on the weekends. To cut to the point Netflix says that by separating the services, Netflix for streaming, and Qwikster to take on the DVD delivery, will enhance the user experience. I’m not quite sure I believe that.

I don’t know, maybe I’m being naive when I think that separating the companies makes Netflix seem weak. But….how is Netflix weak? They own practically 30-40% of the traffic on the internet in the United States!! That’s huge!!! They’re a billions of dollars company. You can’t be buckling from that kind of a cash flow that you’re company can’t keep up. And if you are, create the team to deal with it (because you have the ******* money), but don’t separate the companies.

I don’t know anyone that thinks that having to log in to two different websites for the same service is beneficial. I saw an argument on the internet that people already do the same thing for social networking for Twitter, Facebook, Linked In (god forbid)…but are those equivalent?

I have no idea. I don’t care. I will probably dump Qwikster off at DCFS (Department of Children and Family Services) and hope that they don’t report me for being, “The Devil”. I’ll probably end up just renting off of iTunes or buying the DVD’s off of Amazon. I just want simple, I just want those two tabs under the same page so I don’t drunkely click on another tab in Firefox and suddenly I’m in Tom Sizemore’s pain room.
