No Sympathy for Mr. Silence

Joe Paterno Dies In Hospital; Doctors Promise To Tell Their Superiors First Thing Tomorrow
I certainly do not cheer the death of someone with cancer, but his actions were reprehensible. Especially for an 84 year old who has never heard of “rape and a man.”
He could have been a hero, and stopped Sandusky, but chose to allow the Penn State corporate structure to take care of the matter “their way”. All of those involved, not just Paterno.
“All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.”
The most winningest coach in all of college football will be forever tarnished by the action of silence. You can choose to be a cog in the wheel, or you can choose to do what was right. He chose not to protect innocent children. And for that sir, you do not have my sympathy.
