Wavy Hair and Coleman Ranahan
It’s been a crazy year in 2010. Everybody is making a list of course. So why not join in on the fun that is absolutely drowned out with noise. So here are a few podcasts that I just started listening to that are absolutely awesome in no particular order.
I’ve listened to things like /Filmcast for a long time, and they’re absolutely great, but Comedy Film Nerds is a great place to sit and have comics tear apart movies but they’re also people who love movies. This is a great compliment to the /Filmcast I think no film fan should be without.
I first heard Chris Hardwick on Never Not Funny, and have followed him on Twitter for some time before getting to his podcast on nerdist.com finally. It’s great, he always has great comics, or people in the entertainment business (including the 11th doctor Matt Smith!). This podcast is honest and it can be absolutely silly. Worth it.
I’m a fan of sports, simply because I’ve particpated in them since a young age, and Sklarbro Country does a great job of combining comedy with sports. I recommend it for sports fans and I think it’s great for even the non-sports fans.
Greg Proops has a sharp mind and wit that is beyond no other. This hour long podcast that comes out maybe once a month is a great off the cuff rollercoaster examination of modern society.
I’ve always been a fan of Greg Behrendt since hearing him on Never Not Funny (they have the funniest people on there I tell you) and his CD’s are fantastic. Another off the rails podcast between him and comedian Dave Anthony (whose laugh will haunt my dreams forever) they don’t hold back and are willing to continue a crazy bit beyond where it should go. This makes me laugh nonstop.
I don’t have much expierence with the Flash, I read a few of the revival comics of Barry Allen in 2009 and 2010 but it wasn’t much. So instead I relied upon the fantastic Tom Katers reads of Flash Comics from back in the day and it makes me laugh so much while getting my comic high. I couldn’t recommend it more.
